This inquiry displays all parents that use the requested part as an immediate component.
PLANT
Display only. The plant where the component is used to manufacture the displayed items.
PART NUMBER/DESCRIPTION
Display only. The component whose parents are displayed. The part number/description is reverse-imaged if it is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
UNIT OF MEASURE
Display only. This is the part's stockkeeping unit of measure. It is retrieved from the Part Master File (DE100M).
REVISION LEVEL
Display only. Only parents having the component in effect for this revision level are displayed.
EFFECTIVITY DATE
Display only. Only parents having the component in effect on this date are displayed.
DRAWING NUMBER
Display only. Cross-reference to an engineering drawing associated with the component part.
SEQUENCE NUMBER
Display only. The sequence number assigned to the part in the bill of material. If this is a reference structure, REF is displayed in this field. The sequence number is reverse-imaged if the part number/description is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
PARENT PART NUMBER/DESCRIPTION
Display only. The number of a part that is the direct parent of this component part. The parent part will have a type of Manufactured (2), Planning (4), Build-Thru (6), Transfer (8), Purchase (1), or Raw Material (3), since only these parts may have bills of material and therefore components. The part's standard description is displayed beneath the part number. The parent part number/ description is reverse-imaged if the part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
BATCH QUNATITY
Display only. This represents the quantity you typically make in one run of the manufacturing process of this parent part. The batch quantity is reverse-imaged if the part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion. If only the batch quantity is reverse-imaged, this indicates that the batch quantity on the bill is not the same as the batch quantity on the part. The batch quantity relationship should be reviewed.
QUANTITY PER
Display only. Quantity of the component required to manufacture one batch size of the parent part. Will display up to seven decimal places. The quantity per is reverse-imaged if the part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
UNIT OF MEASURE
Display only. The parent part's stockkeeping unit of measure. The unit of measure is reverse-imaged if the part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
COMPONENT SCRAP FACTOR
Display only. The scrap factor of the component part as it is used in the production of this parent part. Used to inflate the quantity of the component needed in the manufacturing process to make the parent part to account for unusable component parts. It is numeric and is always zero for planning parts. To see how component scrap factors are used in required quantity calculations, type an 'X' to left and press F11. The component scrap factor is reverse-imaged if the part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
USAGE CODE
Display only. This code is used to determine whether a component part will be consumed (C) by the parent part or produced (P) as a result of making the parent part. Any part type may be a byproduct of a manufacturing process. The usage code is reverse-imaged if the part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
I/O
Display only. Identifies whether the engineering change order brings the component into or out of effectivity. If an ECO is displayed, the values will be IN or OUT. The I/O is reverse-imaged if the part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
ECO
Display only. It is used to define an engineering change order associated with this component relationship. The engineering change order number will exist on the Engineering Change Order (ECO) File. The engineering change order is reverse-imaged if the part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
DATE
Display only.
o For IN engineering changes, the first date the component will appear in the bill of material.
o For OUT engineering changes, the date the component will be removed from the bill of material. The date is reverse-imaged if the part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Return to the Function Select screen.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program and return to menu.
