This screen is used to select maintenance options for part revision levels. Part revision levels record changes in a part's structure or routing. A new revision level is created for each change in a part's product structure or routing.
PLANT
Required. Used to identify the plant where the workcenters exist. The plant must be valid (not blanks or nines) and the user must be authorized to the manufacturing company/warehouse associated with the plant (Reference File Category 409). Defaults to the plant are assigned to the user ID, but may be changed by pressing F17.
PART NUMBER
Required. Enter the part number for which you want to perform revision level maintenance. This number must exist on the Part Master File. For additions and changes, the part must be active.
REVISION LEVEL
Required. Enter the revision level to be maintained for the specified part. This field must be numeric if the system will automatically generate the revision level for the part (if the Auto Rev Gen field on the Part Master File is equal to Y). Otherwise, the revision level may be alphanumeric.
MAINTENANCE CODE
Required. Enter the maintenance function you wish to perform for the specified part revision level. For additions, the specified revision level cannot exist for the part on the Part Master File. For changes and deletions, the revision level must exist for the part.
Option 1 allows you to add a revision level for a part on the Part Master File.
Option 2 allows you to change the effectivity date or description of the specified revision level.
Option 3 allows you to delete the specified part revision level. A revision level may not be deleted if it is the one in effect for the specified part.
