This screen is used to maintain cycle count data for an existing company/warehouse, if a cycle count environment has been specified.
PLANT
Display only. Used to identify the plant in which maintenance/inquiry will be done. The plant must be valid, and you must be authorized to the manufacturing company/warehouse associated with the plant (Reference File category 409). Defaults to the plant assigned to your user id.
COMPANY/WAREHOUSE
Required. Must be a valid company/warehouse with an existing warehouse description.
MAXIMUM SCHEDULED PART COUNTS
Required. Defines the default value for the maximum number of parts that can be scheduled for counting when a cycle count schedule is generated for this warehouse.
CYCLE COUNT SCHEDULE SEQUENCE
Required. Must be either PART or LOCATION. This is the default for the scheduling sequence for this warehouse when cycle count schedules are printed. The default value is PART.
ABC CLASS
Display only. The class used to indicate the relative value of a group of items. The ABC classification for each item is maintained through the Inventory Control module. For each classification, you determine the interval for counting the items and the tolerances for reporting errors. A items are more valuable than B items, B items are more valuable than C items, etc.
CYCLE COUNT INTERVAL
Optional. This value is used to determine the default days between cycle counts for the associated ABC class. Values entered here may be overridden on a part-by-part basis through the Warehouse Balance Maintenance facility.
CYCLE COUNT TOLERANCE TRANSACTION PERCENT
Optional. This value is used as the default tolerance percentage for the associated ABC class. Values entered here may be overridden on a part-by-part basis through the Warehouse Balance File Maintenance facility.
This value will be used as a check when cycle count adjustments are made for this part. The adjustment quantity is divided by the inventory activity since last count and compared to this value. If the calculated value is higher than the tolerance percent the adjustment will not be allowed. Tolerance checking may be overridden by using the default cycle count adjustment codes defined when cycle counting is installed.
CYCLE COUNT TOLERANCE AMOUNT
Optional. This value is used as the default tolerance amount for the associated ABC class.
This value can also be used as a check when cycle count adjustments are made. The value of the adjustment is compared to this value. If the calculated value is higher than the tolerance value the adjustment will not be allowed. Tolerance checking can be overridden by using the default cycle count adjustment codes defined when cycle counting is installed.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Update changes.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option, mnemonic or an OS/400 command (if the user is authorized) can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program without update.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F10 - Return to the Function Select screen.
F15 - Clear all screen values that you have just entered so that they can be reentered.
