This screen is used to add or change the value of distribution parameters for a part.
PLANT
Display only. The plant specified on the function select screen. The information entered on this screen will apply only to the part within this plant.
PART NUMBER
Display only. The part number entered on the function select screen. The information entered on the screen applies to this part.
SEARCH
Optional. Text that will be used to search for the part number in Valid Values lists throughout the system. This field defaults to the part description but can be changed.
PART DESCRIPTION
Display only. The description the helps identify the part throughout the system. It is maintained on the Description screen.
SUBSTITUTE
Optional. Enter the number of a part that can be substituted for this part. It must be a valid, active part. The substitute part number is displayed for each line during sales order entry.
DESCRIPTION LINE 1
Required. The first line of a two line description for the part that is used in the Order Processing module. The two-line description appears on various screens and reports, including the sales order and the picker.
WEIGHT/SKU
Optional. The weight of the part (per stockkeeping unit of measure) is used to calculate the total weight of a sales order at shipment time.
DESCRIPTION LINE 2
Optional. The second line of the two-line description that is used in the Order Processing module.
VOLUME/SKU
Optional. The volume of the part (per stockkeeping unit of measure) is used to calculate the total volume of the sales order at shipment time.
REFERENCE 1
Optional. A user-defined field to be used for custom reporting.
USER SEQUENCE
Optional. A user-specified value that can be used to sequence parts for custom reporting.
REFERENCE 2
Optional. A user-defined field to be used for custom reporting.
SERIAL CONTROL FLAG
Required. Enter a (Y) Yes in this field to make this a serial controlled part. Serial controlled parts require serial numbers be entered for sales orders, shipments, and credit memos. If you enter a (N) No, serial numbers will not be allowed.
SALES ORDER MESSAGE
Optional. The message associated with this Sales Order Message Code is printed on applicable documents depending on the Sales Order Message Print Code. If this field is left blank, then the Sales Order Message Print field must also be blank.
SALES ORDER MESSAGE PRINT
Optional. The Sales Order Message Print Code defines whether the Sales Order Message is printed on the sales order, the quote acknowledgment, the picker, the invoice, or a combination of these documents. This field must be left blank if the Sales Order Message field is blank. Note that the quote acknowledgment will print for all print codes that result in the printing of the sales order.
USER-DEFINED PRICING/DISCOUNTING FIELD 1
Optional. If entered, this field is used to set up the user-defined key fields used on line discounts and price list/discount templates. The name of this field is maintained on Reference File category D93.

Optional. If entered, this field is used to set up the user-defined key fields used on line discounts and price list/discount templates. The name of this field is maintained on Reference File category D93.
DIVISION ID
Optional. A user-defined identification of a remote user's location; for example, WEST. This field is used by the Sales Force Automation module in the uploading/downloading process. Valid division IDs must exist on Reference File category I62.
PRICING GROUP
Optional. Pricing groups are a collection of similar items which are grouped together. If entered, this field can be used in the Price List Mass Maintenance conversation to facilitate global changes. They can also be used as key fields in the Pricing/Discount Template Relationship Maintenance conversation to identify the target set of the template. Valid pricing groups are defined on Reference File category G68.
SECTION ID
Optional. A user-defined identification of a remote user's particular section; for example, SEC-B. This field is used by the Sales Force Automation module in the uploading/downloading process. Valid section IDs must exist on Reference File category I62.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Update the Part Master file with all changes made throughout the screens in this conversation. Processing remains on the current screen while updates are saved to the Part Master file.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program without update.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F5 - Display the previous screen in the Part Master Maintenance conversation. May be used in conjunction with the F6 function key to page back and forth through these screens when creating a new part or modifying an existing part. This function key will not be displayed when the first available screen of this conversation is displayed. If you do not have authority for the previous screen, that screen is skipped over and the previous screen in the conversation is displayed.
F6 - Display the next screen in the Part Master Maintenance conversation. May be used in conjunction with the F5 function key to page back and forth through these screens when creating a new part or modifying an existing part. This function key will not be displayed when the last available screen of this conversation is displayed. If you do not have authority for the next screen, that screen is skipped over and the next screen in the conversation is displayed.
F9 - Enter the Part Master Inquiry without updating changes.
F10 - Return control to the select screen.
F11 - Enter the Part Comments Maintenance without updating changes.
F15 - Respecify the part number.
F24 - Display the next set of function keys.
