This screen allows you to specify which bill of material you want to create or change. You must enter a part number. If you want, you can also enter an effectivity date. The program will list all components that are in effect for the part on the date you enter. To list all components, type ALL as the effectivity date.
PLANT
Required. Used to identify the plant where the workcenters exist. The plant must be valid (not blanks or nines) and the user must be authorized to the manufacturing company/warehouse associated with the plant (Reference File category 409). Defaults to the plant are assigned to the user ID, but may be changed by pressing F17.
PART NUMBER
Required. The part whose bill of material you want to add or change. The part must exist on the Part Master File. Part type must be manufactured, planning, or build-thru.
EFFECTIVITY DATE
Required. Components in effect for this date will be displayed. To see all components, type ALL.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - If a part number was entered, display the Multi Line Product Structure screen for that part.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Display the Design Engineering Application Menu.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F9 - Enter the Product Structure Inquiry screen to see a bill of material without changing it.
F11 - Enter the Product Structure Maintenance screen to display one detail screen for each component of the bill of material (rather than listing all components on one screen).
F17 - Used to change the plant in which the user is currently working.
