This screen is used to request a time-phased display of demand and supply for an item, within a manufacturing warehouse for a plant.
Neither forecast nor target inventory is ever displayed for standard MS parts, since the function of consuming forecast and calculating target inventory for standard MS parts is strictly handled in the Tentative MS Schedule conversation and report. You should utilize these features in the MS module should you desire to see the effects of forecast & target inventory on total demand & the suggested/current schedules which the system is analyzing.
JOB NUMBER
Optional. Displayed only if the Job Control module is installed. Demand and supply records may be displayed for a specified job. If entered, the job number must be a valid job for the part. If the part is not job controlled, this field must be blank.
PART NUMBER
Required. Enter the number of any part other than a reference or planning part.
PLANT
Optional. Used to identify the plant in which maintenance/inquiry will be done. The plant must be valid, and you must be authorized to the manufacturing company/warehouse associated with the plant (Reference File category 409). Defaults to the plant assigned to your user ID, but may be changed. If the plant field is left blank then the detail screen will show information for all plants and the Plant field at the top of this screen will not be displayed.
HORIZON DATE
Optional. Enter the cutoff date in the future for reviewing the part's requirements.
REQUIREMENTS PLANNING RUN MODE
Required. If you want the actual time-phased display to be displayed, type an 'A' (actual) in this field. If you want the simulated time-phased display, type an 'S' (simulated) in this field.
DISPLAY FORECAST
Optional. This flag indicates whether forecasted demand will be displayed on the detail screen. This value defaults from Reference File category N35. Valid values are N (no) and Y (yes). This flag will not be displayed if MS or RP are not installed. Forecast will not be displayed if a standard master scheduled part is entered. Regardless of whether this flag is 'Y' or 'N', EDI Forecast will be displayed on the detail screen if applicable.
DISPLAY TARGET INVENTORY
Optional. This flag indicates whether target inventory will be displayed on the detail screen. This value defaults from Reference File category N35. Valid values are N (no) and Y (yes). This flag will not be displayed if MS or RP are not installed. Target inventory will not be displayed if a standard master scheduled part is entered.
