This screen is used to add, change, or delete engineering change orders (ECOs). For change transactions, at least one field must changed.
ENGINEERING CHANGE ORDER NUMBER
This display only field indicates the number of the engineering change order to be added, changed, or deleted.
EFFECTIVITY DATE
Required. Enter the date on which the engineering change will take effect. This date must not be entered as or changed to a date earlier than the current date. If this date is changed and category C12 - ECO date update option is '1' or '2', then all product structure links using engineering change order number will be update with the new effectivity date.
REASON CODE
Optional. Enter the reason for making this engineering change. If entered, this code must be one of the reason codes defined on the Reference File ( category C04).
PLANNER CODE
Optional. Enter identification of the person initiating this change. If entered, this code must be one of the planner codes defined on the Reference File (category 235).
DESCRIPTION
Required. Enter a description of the engineering change. This field is user-defined.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Process transaction.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program and return to menu.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F9 - Enter the Engineering Changes Inquiry program.
F10 - Return to the transaction select screen to select a different ECO number or maintenance function.
F15 - Exit this transaction to rekey screen data.
