This screen is used to select a maintenance option for an engineering change order (ECO). An ECO is a request for a change in the manufacturing process, for example, a component substitution. Each ECO may affect one or several part structures.
ENGINEERING CHANGE ORDER NUMBER
Required. Enter the number of the engineering change order you wish to maintain. This field must not contain all nines or blanks.
MAINTENANCE CODE
Required. Enter the code for the maintenance function you wish to perform for the specified engineering change order. For additions, the specified ECO number must not exist on the Engineering Changes File. For changes and deletions, the specified ECO number must exist on the Engineering Changes File.
Option 1 allows you to add an engineering change order to the Engineering Changes File.
Option 2 allows you to change the effectivity date or description of the specified engineering change order. An engineering change order may be changed at any time, provided the effectivity date is not changed to a date earlier than the current date and the description is not changed to blanks.
Option 3 allows you to delete the specified engineering change order. You may not delete an ECO if parts exist on the Product Structure File associated with the specified ECO.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Process request.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program and return to menu.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F9 - Enter the Engineering Change Inquiry program.
