This screen is used to select a function for maintaining the Error Codes File and the Department Number File.
The first field on the screen is either ERROR CODE or DEPARTMENT NUMBER, depending on how the screen was accessed:
o The Error screen is displayed if the Error File Maintenance option was chosen from the Support Menu.
o The Department screen is displayed if Department Maintenance was selected from an application screen. (The default menu for this option is Manufacturing Engineering.)
Enter a value in the first field (to specify the item whose data you want to maintain), then enter a maintenance code to specify whether you want to add, change, or delete information for that item.
ERROR CODE
The code for a user-defined error message. The 9000-9998 block of abort (ABTXXXX), critical (MPCXXXX), and warning (MPWXXXX) error codes are reserved for user-defined errors.
DEPARTMENT NUMBER
User-defined. Must be numeric. Cannot be all nines. The department number is used to group workcenters together for reporting and accounting purposes.
MAINTENANCE CODE
Enter the number (1-3) corresponding to the action you want to perform.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Display the appropriate detail screen for updating the indicated file.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Return to the System Support Menu.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
