This screen allows you to enter or update a cumulative leadtime generation request and/or update the requirements planning firm horizon days.
One request is allowed per plant at a time. This request is stored on Reference File category K11. If a request already exists for a plant, you can review and/or modify it using this screen. You can review the request through the Reference File Maintenance and Reference File Inquiry conversations, but the only way to change a request is through this screen.
The generation will be performed when the batch job is submitted for processing.
PLANT
Required. Cumulative leadtimes will be calculated for every part in this plant. The plant must exist on the Warehouse Description File (IC170M), and you must be authorized to the company/warehouse associated with the plant. This field defaults to the plant associated with your workstation ID. You can change the plant by using the F17 (New Plant) function key.
SUBMIT REQUEST
Required. Indicates whether or not leadtimes should be calculated for all parts in the plant. Valid values are Y (yes) and N (no). If you enter a Y in this field, the plant will be included next time the Cumulative Leadtime Generation batch job is submitted. After the job is finished, the system will reset the field to N. To delete a request before the batch job is submitted, change this field from Y to N.
GENERATE CUMULATIVE LEADTIME
Required. Valid values are Y (yes) or N (no). If you enter Y, the cumulative leadtime is calculated and updated for every part in a plant. The cumulative leadtime includes both fixed and variable leadtimes. For manufactured and build-thru parts, it includes the time required to manufacture or purchase all of the part's components. If you enter N, the cumulative leadtime is not calculated.
UPDATE REQUIREMENTS PLANNING FIRM HORIZON DAYS
Required. Valid values are Y (yes) or N (no). If you enter Y, the Part Master RP Firm Horizon Days (which is used for planning purposes in the Requirements Planning module) will be calculated as being the same days as the cumulative leadtime days/horizon for the part. If you enter N, the RP Firm Horizon Days is not updated. It may be appropriate for you to enter N if you define this Firm Horizon Days field manually, or if you want the RP Firm Horizon Days date to be different from the cumulative leadtime date.
EFFECTIVITY DATE
Required. Components in effect on this date will be used to determine the cumulative lead time for manufactured and build-thru parts. This field defaults to today's date.
REQUESTOR
Optional. The text in this field will be printed on the Cumulative Leadtime Generation Request report to help identify who requested the report. It will also appear on the plant's Cumulative Leadtime Generation Request record (K11), so that anyone reviewing requests for the plant (or attempting to enter another request for the plant) will be able to identify who submitted this request. No validation is performed.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Update the Reference File category K11 for the request.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program and return to menu.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
