This screen displays the summarized, exploded bill of material for the part entered on the Function Select screen.
o Components are grouped by level.
o The screen displays components with the specified part type(s).
o The screen displays components in effect on the specified date or for the specified revision level. (If you entered a date, the system retrieves the corresponding level; if you entered a level, the system retrieves the corresponding date.)
o If a drawing number has been entered for the parent part, the number is displayed at the top of the screen. The drawing number cross-references the engineering document that details the design of the parent.
PLANT
Display only. The part where the parent item is manufactured.
PARENT PART NUMBER
Display only. The parent item whose components are displayed. The parent part number is reverse-imaged if it is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
PART TYPE
Display only. The part type of the parent part. The part type controls how the item is processed throughout MAC-PAC.
REVISION LEVEL
Display only. The version of the product structure that is displayed. Only components in effect for this revision level are shown.
EFFECTIVITY DATE
Display only. Only components in effect on this date are displayed.
DRAWING NUMBER
Display only. Cross-reference to an engineering drawing associated with the parent part. It is defined on the parent part's Part Master File record.
LEVEL
Display only. The lowest level at which the component is used in the product structure. Parts used directly to make the parent have level 1; immediate components of level 1 parts have level 2; etc. The level is reverse-imaged if the parent part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
COMPONENT PART NUMBER
Display only. The unique number used to identify the component on all screens and in the Part Master File. The component part number is reverse-imaged if the parent part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
DESCRIPTION
Display only. The description stored on the Part Master File for the part. The description is reverse-imaged if the parent part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
PRT TYP
Display only. An abbreviation of the component's part type. Typical abbreviations are MFG (manufactured part) and B/T (build thru part). To obtain an explanation of part types used in the system, type an X to the left and press F11. The part type is reverse-imaged if the parent part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
LEAD TIME
Display only. The fixed lead time for the component. The number of working days the vendor takes to deliver or the fixed time portion of the manufacturing process required to complete one standard-size lot. The lead time is reverse-imaged if the parent part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
USAGE CODE
Display only. This code is used to determine whether a component part will be consumed (C) by the parent part or produced (P) as a result of making the parent part. Any part type may be a by-product of a manufacturing process. The usage code is reverse-imaged if the parent part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
ENG REV
Display only. The engineering revision under which the component is included in the parent's product structure. The engineering revision is reverse-imaged if the parent part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
UNIT OF MEASURE
Display only. The stockkeeping unit of measure for the component. The unit of measure used to report and maintain inventory levels and movement. The unit of measure if reverse imaged if the parent part number is anything other than Active or Marked for Deletion.
COMMAND KEYS
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Display the Design Engineering Application Menu.
F9 - Switch to Product Structure Maintenance screen.
