This screen allows you to enter information required to display the summarized exploded bill of material for a part. A summarized exploded bill of material lists all unique components by level. All level 1 components are listed first, then all level 2 components, etc.
The bill of material will contain all components that:
o Are one of the types you enter. If you do not enter any types, all types will be displayed.
o Are in effect on the effectivity date you enter OR are in effect for the revision level you enter. You must enter either an effectivity date or a revision level; do not enter both.
PLANT
Required. Used to identify the plant in which inquiry will be done. The plant must be valid (not blanks or nines) and the user must be authorized to the manufacturing company/warehouse associated with the plant (Reference File Category 409). Defaults to the plant assigned to the user's ID, but may be changed by pressing F17.
PART NUMBER
Required. The parent part whose bill of material you want to display. The part must exist on the Part Master File.
COMPONENTS PART TYPES
Optional. Enter the code for each type of component you want to include in the summarized explosion. Enter up to six codes. If you do not enter any codes, all part types will be included.
EFFECTIVITY DATE
Optional. Only components in effect on this date will be displayed. If you do not enter a date, all components will be displayed. You must enter either an Effectivity Date field or a Revision Level field; do not type in both fields.
REVISION LEVEL
Optional. Only components in effect for this revision level will be displayed. If you do not enter a level, all components will be displayed. You must enter either an Effectivity Date field or a Revision Level field; do not type in both fields.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Display the information for the requested part.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Display the Design Engineering Application Menu.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F9 - Switch to Product Structure Maintenance screen.
F17 - Used to change the plant in which the user is currently working.
