Recosting
Recosting
Recosting is also triggered by two types of changes:
· Changes in the bill of material (defined in the Product Structure Maintenance conversation)
· Changes to the cost information for one of more of a parent's components (defined in the Part Costs Maintenance conversation).
Note that changing the cost information for one part will cause recosting for all of its parents. When the part is recosted, Inventory Accounting will recalculate the inventory value for the part the next time period-end processing is run.
