A product structure should be created for every manufactured and build-thru part. They can also be

1.   Prepare source documents.

2.   Select the Product Structure Maintenance option.

3.   In the Parent field of the Function Select screen, enter the number of the part whose product structure is to be copied.

4.   On the detail screen, enter:

·     Either the date or the revision level to indicate which version of the product structure should be copied.

·     The number of the part whose product structure is to be created.

Note:    The updates will occur asynchronously.

5.   Modify the copied bill of material as appropriate, using either the Multi-Line Product Structure Maintenance conversation or the Product Structure Maintenance conversation.
