This screen allows you to define one document tracked by the Bill of Documents module. The document number was entered on the function select screen. The only required fields are Document Type and Document Description.
DOCUMENT NUMBER
Display only. The document for which information is displayed. It was entered on the function select screen.
DOCUMENT TYPE
o Display Only for add transactions
o Required for change transactions Indicates whether the document exists in the word processing system. Must be one of the following:
T - Text document (exists on the word processing system)
N - Non-text document (does not exist on the word processing system)
DOCUMENT DESCRIPTION
Required. The document's name or other text describing the document. Cannot be all blanks; no other validation is performed.
ECO NUMBER
Optional. The last engineering change order that affected the document. Must exist on the Engineering Changes File.
REVISION NUMBER
Optional. Identifies the current version of the document. Cannot be negative.
REVISION DATE
Optional. The date when the document was last revised. Must be entered if a revision number is entered.
REMARKS
Optional. Free-form text describing the document. No validation is performed.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Update the Document Master File with the entered information.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Return to the BOD Application Menu without updating the file.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F9 - Enter the Document Master Retrieval Inquiry, which displays Document Master File information for this document.
F10 - Display the Function Select screen without updating the Document Master File.
F15 - Undo any changes made to screen fields since the last time enter was pressed.
