This screen allows you to select specific parts to translate. You are shown the parts descriptions and search fields in the system's base language and can translate them into a secondary language. Once translated, these descriptions will be printed on customer and vendor documents in their associated language. This screen allows you to choose the plant in which the changes are to be made, a language for translation, a part number to begin the search. If all fields are valid and you press Enter you will be taken to the Multi-Language Translation Search screen (CF805S01) to choose a part number to begin translation.
PLANT
Required. The plant for which the part information translation will be done. The plant entered must be a valid plant in the Warehouse Description File (IC170M).
LANGUAGE CODE
Required. The secondary language into which you are going to translate the part information. This must be a valid language code on Reference File category D92.
PART NUMBER/SEARCH CODE
Optional. Enter the first part number you wish to translate and choose Items by Item Number or enter the Search Code of the part you wish to translate and choose Items by Search Code. If that part does not exist, the next part alphabetically will be displayed. You can page down to see parts later in the alphabet. You cannot page up to see parts before the characters entered in this field. For example if you enter 'D', you cannot view parts beginning with 'A', 'B', or 'C', only those later in the alphabet. In order to view parts previous to the one you have entered, return to the Function Select screen and enter another part number. If this field is left blank, all parts for the specified plant are displayed.
MAINTENANCE CODE
Required. Enter the code that corresponds to the group of parts you wish to see. Valid entries are:
1 - Items by Item Number (All items by item number)
2 - Items by Search Code (All items by search code)
3 - Non-translated Items (All items not translated by item number)
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Validates the input fields and takes you to the Multi-Language Translation Search Screen (CF805S01).
F3 - End the program and return to the menu.
