This screen is used to record when component parts have been scrapped at an operation.  It lists all components required for this manufacturing order.  To indicate that one of the components required for this manufacturing order.  To indicate that one of the components has been scrapped, enter the quantity scrapped and scrap code on the corresponding line.  If necessary, use the page keys to see the complete list of components.

PLANT

Display only.  The plant where the manufacturing order was created.  It was specified on the Function Select screen.

ORDER NUMBER

Display only.  The manufacturing order for which the material is being scrapped.  It was entered on the Function Select screen.

OPERATION NUMBER AND OPERATION LINE NUMBER

Display only.  The operation number from which units have been scrapped.  It was entered on the Function Select screen.

PARENT PART/DESCRIPTION

Display only.  The part number and description for the parent part being made on this manufacturing order.

REVERSAL CODE

Display only.  An 'R' in this field indicates that the transaction will be used to back out a previously entered scrap quantity.  This field was entered on the Function Select screen.

EMPLOYEE NUMBER

Display only.  Identifies the employee who is reporting the scrap.  It was entered on the Function Select screen.

Display only.  The number of the shift during which the material was scrapped.  It was entered on the Function Select screen.

COMPONENT PART NUMBER

Display only.  This column lists all components being used to make the parent part for this manufacturing order.  Only components having a usage code of "consumed" are displayed.  The list is created from the order's component requirements.

COMPONENT PART DESCRIPTION

Display only.  The description associated with the part number on the Part Master File.

QUANTITY SCRAPPED

Required.  Enter the number of units scrapped.  Use the stockkeeping unit of measure.  The quantity must be greater than zero.  (To reverse a previously entered scrap quantity, enter the quantity as a positive number in this field and make sure that the Reversal Code contains an R.)
