The Event Manager Detail screen displays the detail information for all the occurrences of a specific event type in your Business Process Manager (BPM) mailbox. Each detail record displayed represents the occurrence of the event type.
This screen allows you to process event occurrences through the use of action codes. Up to ten action codes exist for each event type, and each action code corresponds to a standard MAC-PAC conversation. When navigating to other conversations using the action codes, the standard program authorization for the conversation will be used.
This screen also allows you to enter comments about the occurrence of the event and to forward the detail information and comments to other BPM mailboxes.
MAILBOX ID
Display only. The BPM mailbox ID for which events are being displayed.
MAILBOX ID DESCRIPTION
Display only. The mailbox ID description is retrieved from Reference File category N03.
TYPE
Display only. Indicates the type of event for which detail event information is being displayed. Event type codes are user-defined in the Event Maintenance conversation.
TYPE DESCRIPTION
Display only. The description associated with the event type code.
ACTION CODE
Optional. Enter the three-digit code indicating the action you want to take for the selected event. Each action code represents a MAC-PAC conversation to which you can navigate.
Action codes for each event type are defined in the Event Maintenance conversation and are tied to a specific MAC-PAC conversation in Reference File category N04.
DATE
Display only. Indicates the date on which the detail event information was extracted.
TIME
Display only. Indicates the time at which the detail event information was extracted.
IN-PROCESS FLAG
Optional. Used to protect event information while you are working on it. If the replace option is used for the event type (defined in the Event Maintenance conversation for each event type), existing information is deleted and replaced with new information when the extract program is run again. You can use this field to prevent specific event information from being deleted from your mailbox. The valid values are:
Y - Yes, prevent the event information from being replaced by newly extracted information. Entering Y in this field does not prevent the information from being manually deleted.
N - No, do not prevent the replacement of event information by newly extracted information.
The default value is N.
You can also use this field to indicate the event information you have reviewed. The New Event notification will display on the MAC-PAC menu screens if there are messages in your BPM mailbox and the in-process flag is set to N for at least one of them. Setting this field to Y for the records you have reviewed will prevent the New Event notification from displaying for event information you have already looked at but have not deleted.
DETAIL EVENT INFORMATION
Display only. Provides detailed information about the event that has occurred. The information displayed in this 40-character field is user-defined for each event type.
CONTROL VALUE INFORMATION
Display only. Indicates the amount of the control value for the specific occurrence of an event. The type of information displayed in this field is user-defined for each event type.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Display the conversation corresponding to the action code you entered.
F2 - Display a window on which a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing the Exit key (F3) will remove it.
F3 - Exit the program without processing the entered data and return to the BPM Menu.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field on which the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F5 - If only one event type was selected on the Event Manager Recap screen, use this key to return to the Recap screen when you are finished reviewing the detail information. If more than one event type was selected, use this key to process the next selected event type.
F12 - Display the Comment window for a specific event occurrence. Select the event for which you want to enter or maintain comments by placing an X in the Action Code field for the appropriate event.
F14 - Delete a specific event from your BPM mailbox. Select the event to delete by entering an X in the Action Code field for the event.
