Multi-Language Environment
Multi-Language Environment
A multi-language environment allows you to display the user interface in different languages that are installed on your system. MAC-PAC is installed in a base language that is the default language for the system. However, secondary languages may also be installed and you can choose which language to display while you work. Data that is translatable in a multi-language environment includes:
· Menus
· Screens
· Help Text
· Error Messages
· Screen Generation Rules
Comments, descriptions, and reports cannot be displayed or printed in a secondary language in a multi-language environment. However, external documents, such as invoices and purchase orders, can be printed in the preferred language of a customer or vendor. Refer to the Multi-Language Documents section of this module for a list of these documents.
The multi-language environment only allows one setting for displaying and printing dates and one setting for decimal notation.
Refer to the Installation Guide for information on setting up a multi-language environment on your system.
