Miscellaneous Costs

The following miscellaneous cost calculations are based on labor requirement (LR) records with a workcenter number greater than or equal to 900 and a workcenter rate not equal to C (memo).  These records are collapsed into one cost record on the Labor Cost File.

Planned Miscellaneous

Quantity

If the operation has a variable cost rate (workcenter rate is L, M, or O) then

QUANTITY = MO Quantity.

If the operation has a fixed cost rate (workcenter rate is X, Y, or Z) then

QUANTITY = 1.

Total Cost

If the planned miscellaneous costing option on Reference File category D52 is P (PO) then

TOTAL COST = Ordered Quantity on PO Release File times PO Unit Cost.

If the planned miscellaneous costing option on Reference File category D52 is S (standard) then

TOTAL COST = Planned Miscellaneous Quantity times Miscellaneous Cost on Workcenter File.

Actual Miscellaneous

Quantity

If the operation has a variable cost rate then

QUANTITY = Quantity Completed on LR

If the operation has a fixed cost rate then

QUANTITY = 1 if quantity completed on LR is greater than 0.  Otherwise, QUANTITY = 0.

Total Cost

If the actual miscellaneous costing option on Reference File category D52 is P (PO) then

TOTAL COST = Received Quantity on the PO Release File) times PO Unit Cost.

If the actual miscellaneous costing option on Reference File category D52 is S (standard) then

TOTAL COST = Actual Miscellaneous Quantity times Miscellaneous Cost on Workcenter File.

Projected Miscellaneous

Quantity

If the operation has a variable rate, then QUANTITY is the greater of MO quantity or quantity complete on LR unless the MO status is C or Z, in which case QUANTITY is quantity complete on LR

If the operation has a fixed rate, then QUANTITY is 1 if the MO status is not equal to C or Z. If the MO status equals C or   Z and quantity complete on LR is greater than 0, then QUANTITY is 1; if the quantity complete on LR is not greater than zero, then QUANTITY is 0.

Total Cost

If the quantity complete on LR exceeds the MO quantity or if the MO status is C or Z then

TOTAL COST = Actual Miscellaneous Cost.

Otherwise,

TOTAL COST is the greater of actual miscellaneous cost or planned miscellaneous cost.
