User-Defined Fields on Customer File

Several fields on the Customer Master File are available for any additional data you wish to store.  Six types of these fields exist.  For each field you wish to use, you need to define the corresponding descriptive literal on a Reference File category.  When you are ready to enter data for a customer, MAC-PAC will access the Reference File and retrieve the field names for display on the screen.  Note that MAC-PAC must be modified to process any of these fields.

·      25-character alphanumeric fields.  Four of these fields can be defined.  The literals to be displayed for each field are defined on Reference File category D97.  In the figure below, these fields are indicated by the symbol A.

·      1-character alphanumeric flags.  Four of these fields can be defined.  The literals to be displayed for each field are defined on Reference File category D96.  In the figure below, these fields are indicated by the symbol B.

·      10-character alphanumeric fields.  Four of these fields can be defined.  The literals to be displayed for each field are defined on Reference File category D94.  In the figure below, these fields are indicated by the symbol C.

·      Four alphanumeric fields of 2, 3, 4, and 5 characters each.  The literals to be displayed for each field are defined on Reference File category D95.  In the figure below, these fields are indicated by the symbol D.

·      Numeric fields with 15 significant digits (3 of which are to the right of the decimal place).  Four of these fields can be defined.  The literals to be displayed for each field are defined on Reference File category D99.  In the figure below, these fields are indicated by the symbol E.

·      Numeric fields with 15 significant digits (0 of which are to the right of the decimal place).  Four of these fields can be defined.  The literals to be displayed for each field are defined on Reference File category D98.  In the figure below, these fields are indicated by the symbol F.
