The message identification (MID) segment is a mandatory, single-occurrence segment. It must contain the unique reference number that identifies the delivery instruction. It must also contain the date and time when it was generated.
SEGMENT TYPE
Display only. Text identifying the type of message segment displayed.
SEGMENT CODE
Display only. Three-character code identifying the type of segment being displayed.
ERROR MESSAGE
Display only. Displayed only if the segment contains an error. A message is displayed in red indicating what caused the message to fail validation.
INTERNATIONAL ID
Display only. International identification number allocated to the trading partner.
TAG B1004
Required. The unique document number used to identify the transmission. Corresponds to Odette tag 1004.
TAG B2007
Required. The date when the message was created. Corresponds to Odette tag 2007.
TAG B2895
Optional. The time when the message was created. Corresponds to Odette tag 2002.
TAG B4426
Optional. Field that can be used to validate that the message is authentic. Corresponds to Odette tag 4426.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Validate and process any changes.
F3 - Exit program without processing the entered data.
F8 - Display the list of messages.
F10 - Return to the Function Select screen without processing the entered data.
F11 - Display the header screen for the message.
