Shipping lists designate the specific items and quantities of those items to be shipped to a particular location.  In the Synchro module, shipping proposals are generated by the system after the Daily Batch program has been run.  The shipping proposals list the items that must be prepared or shipped for the day.  In this conversation, you can enter the shipping proposal number to be associated with this shipping list, and the information will default.  You can then maintain the shipping list.  You can enter a shipping list manually, or maintain a system-generated shipping proposal.  The Shipping List Maintenance Function Select Screen (GA145S01) allows you to:

o  Specify the shipping proposal and the shipping list number to be changed;

o  Add a new shipping list (exceptional shipment);

o  Change a shipping list that has not been shipped.

Shipping lists are classified as open, frozen, or shipped.  An open shipping list can be changed.  You can modify the shipping list lines and header information for open orders.

A frozen shipping list is a shipment that is ready to be shipped.  Once frozen, you can not change the shipping list lines, but you can change its header information.

Once a shipping list is shipped, you cannot change any information.  You can add a new shipping list for a shipping proposal if all the shipping lists previously associated to the shipping proposal are either frozen or shipped.

Shipping lists that have undergone the lock/forward shipment process cannot be changed.

A shipping list number is automatically assigned by Synchro in add mode.

See the Key Concepts Section of the Synchro User Manual for more information about shipping lists and their relationship to shipping proposals.

COMPANY/WAREHOUSE

Required.  Displays the company/warehouse this shipping list will be shipped from.

SHIPPING PROPOSAL NUMBER

Required.  Required unless you are adding an exceptional shipment.  The shipping proposal number must correspond to one of the shipping proposals generated by the last generation process.

SHIPPING LIST NUMBER

Optional.  In add mode, this suffix is automatically assigned.  In change mode, you must enter a suffix that corresponds to either a frozen, or an open shipping list.  The shipping list you enter must not have undergone the daily lock/forward process.  The shipping list number is a combination of the shipping proposal number and a two-digit suffix.  This allows each shipping proposal to have up to 99 shipping lists associated with it.

MAINTENANCE CODE

Required.  Must be one of the options displayed.

COMMAND KEYS

Enter - Validates the entered data.  If valid, the detail screen is displayed.

F2    - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered.  Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen.  When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.

F3    - Exits this conversation without update and displays the application menu.

F4    - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned.  If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.

F9    - Calls the Shipping List Inquiry conversation directly.  This allows you to view existing shipping lists and associated detail information.  You must return to the maintenance conversation by pressing F3=Exit before you can enter another conversation.  Any information you type on current screen will still be displayed because you will not have exited the maintenance conversation.

F17   - Allows you to change the shipping company/ warehouse.
