Delivery requests are orders from your customers that define the quantities of specific items they need shipped. Each delivery request is associated with an endorsement, which defines delivery rules for that item/ delivery point. Delivery requests can be received electronically, or entered/updated manually. This conversation allows you to manually enter a delivery request, the delivery request number, and maintenance you wish to perform. A delivery request release cannot be changed once one of the offset releases associated to that delivery request release has been proposed for shipment.
This conversation can only be used for ODETTE/ANSI modes. If the delivery conditions you wish to specify are VDA mode, you must use the VDA Delivery Request Maintenance conversation.
The Delivery Request Maintenance Function Select Screen (GA130S01) allows you to specify the customer who is making the delivery request, the delivery request number, and the maintenance you wish to perform. You can add or change a delivery request in this conversation.
ISSUER
Required. The issuer ID is an internal number that allows you to identify the delivery request for a particular customer.
REQUEST NUMBER
Required. When you are entering a new delivery request manually, this number must not already exist on the Delivery Request Master File (GA210M1/GA210M2/GA210M3). In change mode, must exist on the Delivery Request Master File and cannot have been taken into account for a shipping proposal. See the Key Concepts section of the Synchro User Manual for more information about delivery requests and shipping proposals.
DATE/TIME
Optional. Date and time of the delivery request. If not entered, the default date is today's date. Used in case of multiple daily requests.
TYPE
Required. Enter the type of delivery request. Can be either:
1 - Cancel and replace
2 - Current actualization
Delivery request types are defined on Reference File category G11 (Delivery Request Types). See the Key Concepts section of the Synchro User Manual for more information about delivery request types.
MAINTENANCE CODE
Required. The user must select one of the two proposed options.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Validates the entered data. If valid, the detail screen is displayed.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exits this conversation and displays the application menu.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F9 - Calls the Delivery Request Inquiry conversation directly. This allows you to view existing delivery requests and associated detail information. You must return to the maintenance conversation by pressing F3=Exit before you can enter another conversation. Any information you type on the current screen will still be displayed because you will not have exited the maintenance conversation.
