The Daily Batch Report Processing Request Screen (GA190S01) allows you to submit the daily batch process sequence.  The processing sequence is as follows:

2  - Re-open delivery requests attached to flagged item/delivery points

3  - Run the VDA conversion program

4  - Copy DELINS/VDA errors (retaining DELINS/VDA messages in error)

5  - Automatically enter delivery requests

6  - Reorganize the Erroneous Messages File

7  - Automatically reconcile the customer transmitted synchronization date

8  - Split/offset requests to the regeneration process that were manually entered, automatically acquired, or reset to open.

9  - Lock/forward shipments.

10 - Process advance netting

11 - Generate shipping proposals

12 - Print shipping proposals

13 - Execute the inventory allocation calculation

14 - Generate the Shipping Schedule Work File

15 - Calculate the next batch date

16 - Print labels

17 - Print error/warning messages

18 - Print batch process errors

See the Key Concepts and Screens section of the Synchro User Manual for more information about the Daily Batch and the updates it performs.  See the Synchro Program Documentation Manual for an explanation of the process flow.

SUBMIT FLAG

Required.  It is necessary to enter Y after each batch process unless the user has set parameters for automatic process generation.

DATE

Required.  This date determines the horizon taken into account for each of the warehouses in the generation of shipping proposals.  The default date can be changed, but cannot be set prior to the current date.

For automatic entry of VDA messages, this batch process formats DELINS messages (customer electronic delivery requests) from the transmitted VDA messages.  This process updates the EDI Numbers Master File (GA115M).  The system uses translation software to receive VDA messages generating internal files.  The generated files must be copied into the VDA Messages File (GA210AP2).

The Automatic Entry program (GA209E) sequentially reads the copied file.  GA290E then validates messages received.  According to the error, the program rejects the entire VDA message or DELINS already created.  The rejected message can be retained by the next batch after modifications.

COMMAND KEYS

F2    - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered.  Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen.  When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.

F3    - Allows the user to exit the screen.
