Synchronization Data
Synchronization Data
Synchronization data allows you to follow the progress of your shipments and compare it with your customer's receipts. Synchronization data is passed from you to your customers, and from your customers back to you. This information is maintained for each item/delivery point relationship and acts as a common language between you and your customer to ensure that any discrepancies, including delivery advances and backorders, are acted upon.
You can maintain this data more specifically according to the processing mode you are using. For ODETTE/ANSI messaging, you may use the Synchronization Maintenance conversation. For VDA messaging, you may use the VDA Synchronization Maintenance conversation.
