Daily Batch Description
The Synchro Daily Batch Process is the driver of the Synchro module. All of the processing related to acquiring DELINS, ANSI, or VDA messages, turning the ODETTE, ANSI, or VDA transmissions into MAC-PAC readable form, splitting and offsetting of delivery requests (whether electronically or manually entered), generating shipping proposals, and updating synchronization data is initiated and processed through the daily batch programs.
You request the daily batch by selecting the Daily batch option on the application menu, or you can set the Batch Submission Flag on Reference File category G15 to 'Y'. This will submit the daily batch automatically. The daily batch processing sequence is:
1. Check if Customer KANBAN is installed.
2. Update the Item/delivery print regeneration flag
3. Re-open delivery requests attached to flagged item/delivery points
4. Format DELINS and/or VDA Messages according to the version number
5. Automatically enter delivery requests
6. Reorganize the Erroneous Messages File
7. Automatically reconcile the customer transmitted synchronization data with the supplier synchronization data
8. Split/offset requests to the regeneration process that were manually entered, automatically acquired, or reset to open
9. Lock/forward shipments
If Customer KANBAN is installed, lock/forward orders coming through Customer KANBAN and recycle orders coming through Customer KANBAN that are picked or booked, but not shipped
