Rejected DELINS and VDA 4905/1, 4915 Messages

Every DELINS or VDA message received by Synchro is processed through the SY-GALIA or ACTIS DFÜ BOX translation software, which adjusts the files to be compatible with Synchro.  The internal data format description constitutes the translation parameters of the software. The DELINS work file is directly processed as an input file by the DELINS/VDA Automatic Acquisition program in Synchro.  The system takes this file into account in the Automatic Acquisition program (GA210E).  The VDA work file is directly processed as an input file by the VDA Delivery Request and Input program (GA209E).Both programs  performs the following functions:

·     Syntax check of DELINS messages (GA210E), Syntax check of VDA messages (GA209E)

·     Information validation in agreement with the data base and the existing delivery request releases

·     Creation of header and delivery request releases

·     Generation of the acquisition error report

·     Variance Analysis Report (if requested) (ODETTE mode only).

Any message with a critical error (unknown order number, unknown item/delivery point relationship, or release override not allowed) is rejected and a message is printed on the Synchro error report.  The rejected messages are in the Error Message File.  You can correct the message and request its re-acquisition.

A message identification number is assigned to each message during its first acquisition.  It is the concatenation of the process date (YYMMDD), the process time (HHMMSS), and a six-digit number.

A version number is also assigned to the message, which is the concatenation of the process date and time.  It corresponds to the twelve first digits of the message identification number (from the MID segment).  However, the version number can change, each manual modification of the message or each acquisition process executed on the message modifies the process date and time in the version number.  Therefore the number identifies the message of the current version.

You can select the message to be modified, and access the message segment list displayed in segment order with an indentation by hierarchical level.  This list also displays the segment data that are not formatted.  Each segment in error is displayed in reverse image on the segment list.  You can select the segment that is incorrect and correct it.  Once the message is correct you can simulate the acquisition of one or several messages.  If there are still errors, or if some new errors are detected, they are displayed and you can correct them.  The real acquisition of messages will occur in the next Synchro daily batch process.
