Net/Gross Weight Calculation

The weight specified on type 1 and 2 labels is calculated as follows:

Label 1 weight = Part weight * # of SKU/packaging units + Weight of packaging

Label 2 weight = Label 1 weight * # of packaging/handling units + Weight of handling

Where:

Part weight = Part weight on the Part Master File

# of SKU/packaging units = Number of SKU/packaging units

Weight of packaging = Weight of packaging on category G27

# of packaging/handling units = Number of packaging/handling units

Weight of handling = Weight of handling on category G27 if a container is not used or Weight of handling on the Container Master if a container is used.

The shipping list (maintenance/report) follows the same logic to calculate the gross weight.
