Delivery Request Releases
A delivery request release for an item/delivery point relationship can be either:
· Quantity by date: the release corresponds to the quantity of the item that must be received by the customer at the date and time specified.
· Quantity by period: the release corresponds to the quantity of the item that must be shipped during the specified period. The period is defined by:
- A start date , which is the first date of the period
- An end date, which is the last date of the period
The nature of the release allows you to determine the customer commitment level of the delivery request.
Synchro accepts five natures of requests:
In ODETTE mode, the five natures are defined as follows:
0. Immediate Release (Firm Request; VDA only)
1. Delivery Order (Confirmed request)
2. Manufacturing Authorization (Planned request)
3. Supply Authorization (Planned request)
4. Trend (Planned)
In VDA mode, the five natures are defined as follows:
0. Immediate Release (Firm Request; VDA/LAB only)
1. Delivery Order (Confirmed request; FAB)
2. Manufacturing Authorization (LAB)
3. Supply Authorization (LAB)
4. Forecast (Planned/LAB)
Of these 5 nature types, VDA LAB type delivery requests are indicated by nature types 0, 2, 3, and 4. VDA FAB type delivery requests are indicated only by nature type 1.
