This screen is used to select parameters for sales statistics post processing. A demand post will post all current transactions to the Sales Analysis File, and will allow a user to produce current reports, as well as inquiry on sales totals for the current period. A demand post may be run at any time during a sales period. A final post may be run only once in a sales period. After a final post has been run for a period, a demand post cannot be run for that period. The month end reports may be run at any time during the period by entering a specific request, or by running a demand post. However, once a period has been final posted, the month end reports for that period can no longer be generated. Selected the month end reports with a final post produces the end reports that include all sales processed during the current period. Also, year end reporting must be done prior to final posting the last period of the year. Finally, the last step after running the final post is to update the sales calendar Reference File categories (407, 408 and A01).
PERIOD
Required. Must be numeric and must be the last sales period posted (category 435) plus one. If the last period posted was the final period of the year (12 or 13), the current sales period must be one.
DEMAND POST
Required. Must be either Y (yes) or N (no). The demand post flag must be an N if the final post flag is a Y.
FINAL POST
Required. Must be either Y (yes) or N (no). The final post flag must be an N if the demand post flag is a Y. At the end of the last sales period (12th or 13th) a demand post should be requested before submitting a Final Post. At this point all year-end reports should be run, before submitting a Final Post.
MONTH END SALES - CUSTOMER CLASS REPORT
Required. Must be either Y (yes) or N (no). If this flag is set to yes, the Month End Sales By Customer Class Report will be printed for all company/ locations prior to posting sales statistics. This report will include all sales transactions which have a ship date less than the current period end date that have been final posted.
MONTH END SALES - PRODUCT CLASS REPORT FLAG
Required. Must be either Y (yes) or N (no). If this flag is set to yes, the Month End Sales By Product Class report will be printed for all company/locations prior to posting sales statistics. This report will include all sales transactions which have a ship date less than the current period end date that have not been final posted.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Process request.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program and return to menu.
