Purpose

The Sales Analysis by Customer Class Summary Report provides sales information by customer class listing the total sales amount, quantity, and gross margin for each period requested. The report allows the user to compare sales over a range of periods for the current sales year in order to help analyze sales trends for the various customer classes. This report can be selected by entering a range of customer class codes.

To make the report easier to use, similar customer types should be given similar customer class codes. Selecting the report for a range of customer class codes will allow the user to perform sales analysis on selected high volume customers which are grouped together with the same customer class code.

In a multi-currency environment, the base currency and currency description are formatted in the upper left-hand corner of the report, just under the report number.
