This screen is used to add or change records on the Requisition File. You can add or change requisitions by typing the appropriate information on the bottom line of the screen. You must press the Enter key after each transaction. Once you have completed all transactions, you must press F10-Function Select. In a multiple currency environment, the base currency code for the company/location is displayed in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, to the left of the date.

Display only. Identifies the company/warehouse currently being used.
CURRENCY CODE
Display only. Displayed only when in a multiple currency environment as defined on the System defaults record found on Reference File category 133. Indicates the currency in which the different prices are expressed. It must exist on the Currency Master File.
REQUISITION NUMBER
Display only. This field indicates the requisition number.
REQUISITION DATE
Display only. Identifies the creation date of the requisition. Must be a valid date greater than or equal to the system date. The default value for an add transaction is the system date. This date cannot be changed once the requisition has been posted.
PLANNER CODE
Display only. This field indicates the planner responsible for the requisition.
COMMENTS FLAG
Display only. Indicates if comments exist for line number 00, the requisition header. May be Y (comments exist) or N (comments do not exist).
LINE NUMBER
Optional (Add). Required (Change). No validation occurs when you add a new requisition line; the system will automatically allocate the next sequentially available number. When changing an existing requisition, the line number must already exist in the Requisition File.
MAINTENANCE CODE
Required. Defines the type of maintenance that will be performed on the requisition line. This field must be entered to the right of the line number. It must be one of the following values:
A - Add the line.
C - Change the line.
X - Cancel the line.
R - Reinstate the line.
The following fields will be open to data entry only for add (A) or change (C) maintenance transactions. These fields are display only when a line is canceled (X) or reinstated (R).
LINE STATUS
Required (Change). Defines the current status of the line. These codes are defined on Reference File category 476. Valid display values and possible changes are shown below:
INITIAL VALUE CAN BE CHANGED TO
P - Planned R - Released
K - Canceled
R - Released K - Canceled
C - Closed
F - Firm planned R - Released
K - Canceled
K - Canceled R - Released
F - Firm planned
C - Closed R - Released
A requisition created by Requirements Planning or Master Scheduling has a status of planned (P). It must then be released manually (status changed to R). It can be canceled (status changed to K) only if no part of the requisition has been covered by a purchase order.
A requisition created manually or by the Expert Configurator has a status of released (R). It can be canceled (status changed to K) only if no part of the requisition has been covered by a purchase order. A requisition can be closed (status changed to C) only if the uncovered percent quantity is less than the Close Tolerance Percent specified for the purchasing group of the part on Reference File category 482 or, if blank, specified on the Purchasing Company Location Defaults record found on Reference File category D32.
If at any time the requisition amount on a requisition that has a status of P (planned) exceeds the Requisition Amount Limit specified on Reference File category D32, the status is set by the system to the firm planned (F). It can then be manually released (status changed to R) following the requisition release authorizations specified on Reference File category 477.
Note: In the case above, the requisition amount is calculated as the sum of the Requisition Line Quantity multiplied by the Unit Cost.
A requisition with a status of closed (C) can be released (status changed to R) only if the close reason code is left blank.
