Quotation Packing Types

The quotation packing type enables the user to define the chargeability of the packaging to take this factor into account when using the quotation price data in purchase order placement.  This field can be used to differentiate quotations.

The quotation packing type must exist on the Packing Type category on the Reference File.  Three types are system defined:  free packing, returnable packing and packing charged.  Three other types may be defined by the user.

Note:    A warning message appears in the purchase order maintenance conversation if the packing type of a quotation used for purchase order line pricing differs from the purchase order line packing type.
