Purchase Order Dates
Different levels of dates allow the user to control the validity of a purchase order.
An Effectivity Date and an Expiration Date may be entered on the purchase order. These two dates define a validity period during which all the line validity periods must be included. The line validity period is also delimited by an effectivity date and an expiration date. The release's due date must be included within the line validity period. The diagram below shows the relationships between these periods.
If the effectivity and expiration dates are blank, all dates are valid for the related entities.
Changes to these dates are subject to the same constraints outlined above.
