This screen allows you to reserve inventory in one or more lots to fill a sales order line. It displays all lots in one warehouse that contain the item specified in the sales order. To access this screen, enter an action code of LT from the Sales Order Maintenance Multi-line screen (OP100S03).
o You can specify how many items in each lot should be reserved for the order. Simply enter the number in the Reserve Quantity field for the lot.
o If inventory has already been reserved at this warehouse for the order line, the reserved quantity is displayed for each lot. To change a reserved quantity, simply type over the displayed quantity.
o To find out about item availability at other warehouses, press F9.
o To see additional quality control specifications for a lot, type an X in the S column for that lot and press F14.
o To view additional quality control specifications for this customer, press F6.
COMPANY/WAREHOUSE
Display only. The selling company and warehouse for the order. Only lots within this warehouse are displayed on this screen. To find out about availability at other warehouses, press F9.
ORDER
Display only. The order number and order release number identifying this order.
TYPE
Display only. The order type (regular, blanket, etc.).
BILL-TO CUSTOMER NUMBER/CUSTOMER NAME
Display only. The customer that will be billed for the order.
ORDER STATUS
Display only. The status of the order.
SHIP-TO CUSTOMER NUMBER/CUSTOMER NAME
Display only. The customer to which the ordered goods will be shipped.
LINE
Display only. The order line number for this item.
PART
Display only. The number and description of the part.
ORDER QUANTITY
Display only. The quantity ordered.
ORDER UNIT OF MEASURE
Display only. The unit of measure for ORD QTY, RSV QTY, and B/O QTY fields.
RESERVED QUANTITY
Display only. The amount already reserved for this order line.
BACKORDER QUANTITY
Display only. The quantity backordered.
CONFIGURATION CODE
Display only. This code identifies the options selected for a specific configured part. It uniquely identifies the characteristics of the configured part.
CUSTOMER SPECIFICATIONS
Display only. Codes and values for the first three quality control specifications defined for this customer/item combination.
COMMENTS
Display only. The first characters of the comments for this customer/item. To see the full comments, press F7.
SELECT
Optional. Used to select a lot for further inquiry. To see additional QC specs for a lot, type an X in this field and press F14.
RESERVED QUANTITY
Optional. The quantity in this lot to be reserved for this order.
LOT NUMBER
Display only. The number used to identify this lot. If the lot number is displayed in reverse image, it means that the lot was placed on hold; an appropriate error message is displayed. No inventory may be issued from or received into a lot that is on hold.
AVAILABLE QUANTITY
Display only. Calculated as follows: Total available for distribution MINUS amount reserved for all orders PLUS amount already reserved for this order.
BALANCE TYPE
Display only. Balance type code. Codes and descriptions for the four system balance types are defined on the System Control File through the Balance Type Maintenance conversation in Inventory Control.
STOCKING LOCATION
Display only. Location where the lot is stocked.
LOT QUALITY CONTROL SPECIFICATIONS
Display only. The QC specifications for the lot that correspond to the three Customer/Item specifications shown at the top of the screen. To see additional QC specs for the lot, type an X in the Select column (labeled S) for this lot and press F14.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Reserve inventory quantities entered on the screen and return to the previous screen.
F6 - Enter the Customer QC Inquiry. This inquiry displays all quality control specifications and full comments for this customer/item.
F9 - Enter the Warehouse Stock Status Inquiry. This inquiry displays item availability information for other warehouses.
F14 - Enter the Quality Control Spec Inquiry. This inquiry displays all quality control specifications and comments for the selected lot.
F15 - Clear the screen of all data entered since the last update was made.
F23 - Display the Expanded Configuration Code window which allows you to view the expanded description for a part/configuration code combination.
