This screen displays RMA comment information. On this screen, you can add new lines (up to 9,999 lines of text) as well as change, delete, and rearrange comment text. If you press the Update key (F19), you may edit the header fields that are display only otherwise.
COMPANY/WAREHOUSE
Display only. This is the company/warehouse where merchandise will be returned. This field is editable if you press the Update key (F19).
RMA NUMBER
Display only. This is the number that will be used throughout the system for tracking a customer's returned merchandise. This field is editable if you press the Update key (F19).
RMA LINE NUMBER
Display only. This is the line of the RMA that you are adding comments to. If the field is blank, you are adding comments to the RMA header. This field is editable if you press the Update key (F19). To enter this number, you must enter three digits for the value. For example, to enter a line number of 1, enter 001.
DEFAULT PRINT CODE
Display only. This field identifies the print code that defaults based on the options listed in Reference File category G83, RMA Print Codes. The default Print code for return maintenance authorizations is defined on Reference File category 027, Comment Type.
RENUMBER BY
Optional. The increment to be used when new sequence numbers are assigned. For example, if Renumber By = 5, the new sequence numbers will be 5, 10, 15 ..., when F18-Renumber is pressed. If this field is blank, lines are renumbered by 10. This is a helpful feature if you want to add multiple lines of text.
PRINT CODE
Optional. This field identifies the print code for the line of text based on the options listed in Reference File category G83, RMA Print Codes. If not entered, the default Print code will be used. Valid values are:
0 - Do not print the comments
1 - Print the comments on the RMA Acknowledgment
TEXT
Optional. This area contains comment text. Up to 9,999 lines of text may be written. Each text line can contain up to 57 characters.
SEQUENCE
The number indicating the order in which comment lines should be displayed and printed. Initially, the system displays sequence numbers in intervals of 10. To rearrange lines, type over the current numbers.
DELETE
Optional. Type any alphanumeric character in this field to delete the corresponding comment line. Then, press Enter.
TEXT LINE
Optional. If you want to insert a line of text, type the text on this line and enter the sequence number on the Sequence field where you would like the text to appear. Then, press Enter.
SEQUENCE
Optional. This field indicates where text that you enter on the text line will be placed.
COMMAND KEYS
F3 - Exit program without processing the entered data.
F5 - Move to the first line of text.
F6 - Move to the last line of text.
F10 - Return to the Function Select screen without processing the entered data.
F13 - Allows you to enter text in all fields or only text fields.
F15 - Clears all fields that you have just entered in order to enter new data.
F18 - Renumber the text fields by the quantity specified in the Renumber By field.
F19 - Update the Comments File (CF190M).
F24 - Display additional command keys that are valid for the current screen.
