This window is used to add, change, reactivate, or deactivate loads on the Load Master File for the company/warehouse displayed.
The window is displayed by entering an action code from the Load Maintenance Function Select screen. Depending on the action code entered, this window has a different name and format:
DF -- Load Maintenance Information
DT -- Load Maintenance Detail Information
UD -- Load Maintenance User-Defined Information
Each window format displays a different combination of the following fields.
LOAD NUMBER
Required (if adding or modifying a load). Display only (if reactivating or deactivating a load). This field is a unique number that identifies a load to which order shipments are assigned. If you are reactivating or deactivating a load, the load must exist on the Load Master File.
DESCRIPTION
Required (if adding or modifying a load). Display only (if reactivating or deactivating a load). This is a text field that is used to describe the load that is defined by the load number.
ONE-TIME LOAD
Required (if adding or modifying a load). Display only (if reactivating or deactivating a load). This field determines if the load number is used just once or re-used for many shipment dates. Valid values are Y (yes) or N (no).
SCHEDULED SHIP DATE
Required (if the One-Time Load Flag is Y). Optional (if the One-Time Load Flag is N). Display only (if reactivating or deactivating a load). This field defines the date on which the load will be shipped if it is a one-time load. If entered, the date must be equal to or greater than the current date.
CARRIER
Required (if adding or modifying a load). Display only (if reactivating or deactivating a load). This field defines the carrier used for shipping the load. The carrier must exist on the Carrier Master File. If an existing load is being reactivated or deactivated, this field is protected. If an existing load is being changed and the load has unshipped order shipments, this field is protected.
SHIP VIA
Required (if adding or modifying a load). Display only (if reactivating or deactivating a load). This field defines the shipping method used for shipping the load. The ship via code must exist on Reference File category 319. If an existing load is being reactivated or deactivated, this field is protected. If an existing load is being changed and the load has unshipped order shipments, this field is protected.
ROUTE
Required (if adding or modifying a load). Display only (if reactivating or deactivating a load). This field defines the route used for shipping the load. The route must exist on Reference File category 320. If an existing load is being reactivated or deactivated, this field is protected. If an existing load is being changed and the load has unshipped order shipments, this field is protected.
DOCK NUMBER
Optional (if adding or modifying a load). Display only (if reactivating or deactivating a load). This is a text field that is used to describe a customer's receiving dock if the load is being shipped to a single customer.
VOLUME CAPACITY
Optional (if adding or modifying a load). Display only (if reactivating or deactivating a load). This field specifies the maximum volume that can be carried on this load. If an existing load is being reactivated or deactivated, this field is protected.
WEIGHT CAPACITY
Optional (if adding or modifying a load). Display only (if reactivating or deactivating a load). This field specifies the maximum weight that can be carried on this load. If an existing load is being reactivated or deactivated, this field is protected.
FLAG 1C DESCRIPTION
Optional (if adding or modifying a load). Display only (if reactivating or deactivating a load). The literal for this field is defined on the Window Master File, which can be maintained using the Field Set Maintenance conversation. The field value is a 1-character alphanumeric flag.
FLAG 2C DESCRIPTION
Optional (if adding or modifying a load). Display only (if reactivating or deactivating a load). The literal for this field is defined on the Window Master File, which can be maintained using the Field Set Maintenance conversation. The field value is a 1-character alphanumeric flag.
FLAG 3C DESCRIPTION

FLAG 4C DESCRIPTION

NEXT ACTION CODE
Optional (if adding or modifying a load). Protected (if reactivating or deactivating a load). Enter a valid, two-digit code that corresponds to the window you want to display. Windows are defined on Reference File category 032. The default window (action code DF) contains all fields that can be displayed for that window. Custom windows also use action codes. Those windows contain one or more of the fields included on the default window.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - process the entered information.
F3 - Exit program without processing the entered data.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F15 - Clear all fields that you have just entered in order to enter new data.
