This screen allows you to maintain detail information for the line discount you entered on the Function Select screen. Line discounts are only applied to order lines if the characteristics of the line match the values of the four pricing/discount fields (as they are defined for the specific discount) and the apply discount flag associated with the line is set to Y.
CURRENCY
Display only. Indicates the currency in which this discount is defined. This field is only displayed in a multi-currency environment.
DISCOUNT TYPE
Display only. Indicates that you are currently maintaining a line discount. The value of this field automatically defaults depending on the type of discount you entered on the Function Select screen.
START DATE
Display only. Indicates the date this discount becomes effective.
STATUS
Display only. Indicates the status of this discount. Possible values are active and inactive. If a discount is active, it is eligible to be used on sales and/or quote orders. If a discount is inactive, it must be reactivated before it can be applied to orders.
DISCOUNT CODE/VERSION
Display only. Indicates the unique code that identifies this discount. Line discounts are identified by a combination of discount code and version. When adding multiple versions of discounts, the system automatically generates the version number. When maintaining discounts, the system uses the version number to identify the specific variation of a discount.
END DATE
Optional. If entered, this field indicates the expiration date of this discount. If a valid date is not entered, this discount will continue to be valid until an end date is specified.
COMMENTS FLAG
Display only. Indicates whether there are comments related to this discount. The flag will display Y (yes) if comments exist; otherwise, the flag will display N (no). If the flag displays N and you wish to enter comments, press the F12 - Comments key. Once comments are entered, the system will update this flag to Y.
DISCOUNT DESCRIPTION
Required. Indicates a short description of the discount being maintained. This description will display whenever the discount field is used on application screens and/or when you press F4 - Prompt on this discount code field.
DISCOUNT PERCENT
Optional; however, either the discount percent or amount must be entered. If entered, indicates the discount percent that will be applied to sales or quote order lines. Enter the amount as a decimal representing the percentage (i.e., 10% is represented by .10000 and 25% is represented by .25000).
DISCOUNT AMOUNT
Optional; however, either the discount percent or amount must be entered. If entered, indicates the discount amount that will be applied to sales or quote order lines. For example, if the discount is defined in U.S. dollars and the discount amount is 10, the price will be reduced by $10 when the discount is applied.
CUSTOMER RELATED USER-DEFINED PRICING/DISCOUNT FIELDS
Optional. Indicates the value of the user-defined pricing/discounting fields. The screen literals associated with these fields default from Reference File category D93. Valid field values are maintained on the user-defined pricing/discounting fields in the Customer Master Maintenance conversation; however, there is no validation.
