On-Hand Balance Type

One of the four possible balance types is defined for you.  Although you can specify the code, column heading, and description for this type, the flags are set by the system and cannot be changed:

·     On-Hand Flag = Y

·     Order Planning Flag = Y

·     Distribution Flag = N

Inventory in this balance type is physically present in the warehouse at the current moment.  It is available to meet planned demand in Master Scheduling and Requirements Planning.  Because it is currently present in the warehouse, it can be issued to the shop floor immediately for use in production.
