Inventory Reservation Window

The inventory reservation window determines the future horizon date within which inventory will be automatically reserved to sales order line items.  When the promised ship date of a sales order line item falls within this window, inventory will be reserved to the line item if available and not already reserved to the line when the Automatic Inventory Reservation program is executed.  You define the inventory reservation window as a number of days into the future from the current date.  The inventory reservation window can be defined for each warehouse using the Plant/Warehouse Description Maintenance conversation.  This reservation window can be used on sales orders with a Relief Code of D-Distribution or M-Manufacturing.
