This screen lists all lines for a sales order. It is displayed when you select option 2 on the Function Select screen. The line detail screen allows you to specify which job is associated with each sales order line. The job number will be added to the Sales Order Line File.
To select a line, type an X in the Select field for the line and press ENTER. A maintenance line is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Type the job number and press Enter. If the job already exists, descriptive information for the job is displayed. If the job does not exist, you can enter the descriptive information.
Note: To create a job when automatic job numbering is used, press Enter without entering a job number on the maintenance line. The system will assign a job number and allow you to enter descriptive information for the job.
You can change the job associated with a line by selecting the line and typing the new job number over the old number. To remove the association between a line and job, select the line and use blanks for the job number.
ORDER
Display only. The sales order specified on the Function Select screen.
BILL-TO CUSTOMER
Display only. The number of the customer who will be paying for the items.
BILL-TO CUSTOMER NAME
Display only. The name of the customer who will be paying for the items.
COMPANY
Display only. The general ledger company where the customer is defined.
LOCATION
Display only. The general ledger location where the customer is defined.
SELECT
Optional. Type an X in this field and press ENTER to associate a job number with the corresponding line.
LINE NUMBER
Display only. The line on the sales order.
PART NUMBER
Display only. The item purchased on this sales order line.
GROUP NUMBER
Display only. Job groups are used to store inventory and purchase items for several jobs. Inventory belonging to a job group is available to all jobs within the group. Valid groups are defined on the Reference file category D47.
JOB NUMBER
Display only. The job associated with this sales order line.
PROJECT MANAGER
Display only. Valid project managers are defined on reference File category D46. If a group number is associated with the job and the group has a project manager assigned to it, the project manager associated with the group will default from the Reference File category D47. (The project manager associated with each group is defined on Reference File category D47.)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Display only. Brief text describing the job. The job description is used on inquiries and reports to identify the job.
JOB STATUS
Display only. The status of the job. When the job is created, it is automatically assigned to status of O (open) and cannot be changed. The status of a job can be maintained by using option 3 on the Function Select screen.
LINE NUMBER
Display only. The line on the sales order.
PART NUMBER
Display only. The item purchased on this sales order line.
JOB NUMBER
Optional (if job number assignment is automatic). Required (if job number assignment is manual or if the job already exists. The job associated with this sales order line.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Optional (if the job being associated with the sales order line is new). Display only (if the job being associated with the sales order line already exists). Brief text describing the job. The job description is used on inquiries and reports to identify the job.

If a group number is associated with the job and the group has a project manager assigned to it, the project manager associated with the group will default from Reference File category D47. (The project manager associated with each group is defined on Reference File category D47.) You can override this default by typing another valid manager code over the displayed code.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Process transaction.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit the program.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F10 - The Function Select screen is redisplayed. No updating is performed.
