The Job Master Inquiry Select screen is the first screen displayed in the Job Master Inquiry conversation. It is used to select the job(s) for which information will be displayed. You can specify that you want to view information for a specific job or for a list of jobs by customer, project manager, job group, or sales order.
Note: Only one type of display may be selected at a time. Enter X in any one of the job master inquiry request fields, and enter the required information associated with that request. All other fields must be left blank.
SELECTED JOB
Optional (must be X or blank). If entered, the other four inquiry selection fields must be blank. To view information for a specific job, enter X in this field and enter the Job Number field.
JOB NUMBER
Required if the Selected Job field is entered. To display information about a specific job, enter a valid job number. It must exist on the Job Master File and cannot be blanks or all nines.
JOBS BY PROJECT MANAGER
Optional (must be X or blank). If entered, the other four inquiry selection fields must be blank. To view information for all jobs related to a specific project manger, enter X in this field and enter the Project Manager field.
PROJECT MANAGER
Required if the Jobs by Project Manager field is entered. Information will be displayed for all jobs related to this project manager. Must be a valid project manager code on Reference File category D46.
JOBS BY GROUP
Optional (must be X or blank). If entered, the other four inquiry selection fields must be blank. To view information for a specific job group, enter X in this field and enter the Group Number field.
GROUP NUMBER
Required if the Jobs by Group field is entered. Information will be displayed for all jobs related to this job group. Must be a valid group number on Reference File category D47.
JOBS BY SALES ORDER
Optional (must be X or blank). If entered, the other four inquiry selection fields must be blank. To view information for all jobs related to a specific sales order line, enter X in this field and enter the Order Number field. You may also enter the Release Number and Line Number fields.
ORDER NUMBER
Required if the Jobs by Sales Order field is entered. Information will be displayed for all jobs related to this sales order (unless the Release Number and/or Line Number fields are also entered). The number entered must exist on the Sales Order File. Cannot be blanks or all nines.
RELEASE NUMBER
Optional if the Jobs by Sales Order field is entered. Only information for jobs associated with this sales order/release number combination will be displayed. Must exist on the Sales Order File.
LINE NUMBER
Optional if the Jobs by Sales Order field is entered. Only information for the job associated with this sales order line is displayed. Must be a valid line number on the Sales Order File for the order number entered.
JOBS BY CUSTOMER
(Displayed only if Order Processing is installed) Optional (must be X or blank). If entered, the other four inquiry selections fields must be blank. To view information for all jobs related to a specific customer, enter X in this field and enter the Customer, Co, and Loc fields.
CUSTOMER NUMBER
Required if the Jobs by Customer field is entered. Information will be displayed for all jobs related to this customer. The customer must exist on the Customer Master File.
COMPANY
Required if the Jobs by Customer field is entered. The company associated with the selected customer. Must exist on Reference File category 002.
LOCATION
Required if the Jobs by Customer field is entered. The location associated with the selected customer. Must exist on Reference File category 002.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Press the Enter key to validate the entered values.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Press to exit this conversation and return to the Job Control Menu
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F9 - Used to transfer control to the Job Master Maintenance Program (JC100E). If a job number has been entered, it is passed to the maintenance program.
F15 - Used to clear all entered data and refresh the Function Select screen.
