Purpose
Depending on the options selected on the Rules Report Request screen (EC310S01), this report lists either summary or detail information for all rules, a specific rule or rule prefix, a rule search, and rules for a part, group, or subgroup. These options may also be restricted to specific action codes or a rule version number. All comments for the rule will also be printed if requested.
To generate the rules report:
1. Select the Expert Configurator option on the System Application Menu.
2. Select the specific Rules Report that you would like to generate on the Expert Configurator Application Menu.
3. Enter the detail information.
a. Enter an X in the All Rules, Specific Rule, or Rules by Part Number field, depending on which report is to be generated.
b. If Rules by Part Number was selected, enter the part number in the Rules by Part Number field. Must be a valid part on the Part Master File, a group or subgroup number preceded by an asterisk (*), or *ALL, and have sales order entry rules, pricing rules, or manufacturing rules (depending on the report that you are generating) associated with it.
c. If Specific Rule was requested, enter the rule number in the Specific Rule field. Must be either a valid sales order entry rule, pricing rule, or manufacturing rule (depending on the report that you are generating) on the Rule Master File.
d. Enter a D (detail) or S (summary) in the Detail/Summary field.
e. (Optional) Enter specific action codes to be reported in the Action Codes fields. If no action codes are entered, the report will list all sales order entry rules, pricing rules, or all rules (depending on the report that you are generating).
f. (Optional) Enter a specific rule version to be reported in the Rule Version field. If a rule version is not entered, all versions will be reported.
g. (Optional) Enter a search key in the Search Key field. If a search key is not entered, all search keys will be reported.
h. Enter a Y or N, in the Print Immediately field. If N is specified, the report prints when released from the Release Submitted Jobs option. If Y is specified, the report will print immediately, eliminating the need to release it.
i. Enter the user-defined requestor of the report in the Requestor field. No validation is performed on this field.
See the Rule Report Request screen (EC310S01) in the Screens section of this manual for more information.
4. Submit the pending Sales Order Entry Rules Report, Pricing Rules Report, or Manufacturing Rules Report (depending on the report that you are generating) for execution if the Print Immediately flag is N.
a. Select the Release Submitted Jobs option from the application menu.
b. Enter an X in the Rules Report input field to submit the job for execution.
