Secondary Variable
Secondary Variable
A user-defined variable that acts as a temporary working storage field within a bill of rules. For example, this is valuable in pricing rules when calculations are being made. The secondary variable field can be used to accumulate a running total, and can be utilized in the syntax of a rule.
The maximum number of secondary variables that can be used in a distribution/pricing configuration is 300 per configured item. The maximum number of secondary variables that can be used in a manufacturing configuration is 300 per configured item. Theoretically, you could have a total of 600 secondary variables per configured item - 300 for distribution/pricing and 300 for manufacturing.
