Rule-Based Routing Part
Rule-Based Routing Part
When defining a part for configuration, a rule-based routing part can be associated with the manufactured configured part.
The configured part can use a routing defined for the rule-based part. This eliminates the need to redefine a routing pertaining to one or more parts, that is identical to a routing defined for an existing part.
Rule-based routing parts should not be confused with standard routing parts. A standard routing part is used only when standard labor requirements generation methods are used. A rule-based routing part is used to identify a routing that will be used as a shell by rules for labor requirements generation. Users can pick and choose operations from the routing for the rule-based routing part to form the routing for a manufactured configured part. If no rule-based routing is entered, a routing for the configured part must exist.
