Execution of the Run
Execution of the Run
The sales order entry and pricing rules are executed online at order entry time. If the part sold is a configured part, the configurator executes the screen generation rules, formats the corresponding entry screen, validates the options entered, and displays and validates other screens until all sales options have been specified. In our example, if we create an order which requires Desk-001, the configured screen we created with the Screen Generation rules is displayed and we may enter the necessary options, the pricing rules calculate the price of the part based on the options, and the user is returned to Sales Order Maintenance conversation where the configured price appears with the configured part. Other sales order lines may now be entered.
The configured manufacturing orders are generated either asynchronously if the Sales Order Line Release Code was I (immediate), or during the off-line batch generation if the Sales Order Line Release Code was N (normal end-of-day batch).
