Creating a Configuration Template to Standardize Configuration Codes
Creating a Configuration Template to Standardize Configuration Codes
Using the Template Maintenance Program (EC160E) we can create a template for DESK-001 to define which options have been selected for that particular desk. Any literal or variable that can be used to define the Expert Configurator Rules can be used to define the Configuration Template. We will define a template (DESK) for DESK-001 as follows:

Once an orders is configured, the configuration code allows us to easily identify which options were selected. We can also inquire upon and cost inventory based on configuration codes.
