This screen is used to address exceptions that occurred while processing EDI Sales Order Generation requests. This happens when you try to create a Sales Order from transaction data received from the customer via EDI.
If there are no order exceptions, a message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen indicating that no records were found.
To correct an exception condition, select the transaction and press the Enter key. If the exception type is 1 , the program will display the Header Exception Detail screen (ED150S04). If the exception type is 2, the program will display the Line Exception Detail screen (ED150S06). If the exception type is 3 or 4, the program will display the Comments Exception Detail screen (ED150S05). If the exception type is 5, the program will display the Options Exception Detail screen (ED150S08). If the exception type is 6, the program will display the Multi-Site Order Exception Detail screen (ED150S07).
COMPANY/WAREHOUSE
This field identifies the company/warehouse combination associated with the exception transaction(s). This field is used as one of the criteria for selecting exception transactions to be displayed. The default for this field is the default company/warehouse defined on Reference File category 409. If a blank company/warehouse is entered, all detail transactions for which matching headers cannot be found and all comment, multi-site, or option transaction records for which matching header or detail records cannot be found will be displayed. You can change the company/warehouse combination by pressing the Criteria key (F19).
BILL-TO CUSTOMER
This field represents the bill-to customer associated with the exception transaction. The bill-to customer name is used as one of the criteria for selecting exception transactions to be displayed. You can change the bill-to customer by pressing the Criteria key (F19). The default for the field is blank.
COMPANY/LOCATION
This field represents the company/location designated for the bill-to customer associated with the exception transaction. The company and location are when prompting the Bill-to Customer field for valid values. You can change the company and location by pressing the Criteria key (F19). The default for the field is blank. This company is only displayed if the currency level on Reference File category 133, System Options, is not set to ‘G’ (global). This location is only displayed if the currency level on Reference File category 133, System Options, is set to ‘L’ (location).
CUSTOMER PURCHASE ORDER NUMBER
This field represents the customer’s number of the purchase order where the exception was detected. The purchase order number is used as one of the criteria for selecting exception transactions to be displayed. You can change the customer purchase order number by pressing the Criteria key (F19). The default for the field is blank.
SELECT
Optional. This field is used to select order exception records that you want to correct. To select a line, place an 'X' in this field and press Enter.
BILL-TO CUSTOMER
Display only. This field represents the Bill-to customer associated with the exception transaction.
SHIP-TO CUSTOMER
Display only. This field represents the Ship-to customer associated with the exception transaction.
CUSTOMER PURCHASE ORDER NUMBER
Display only. This field represents the number of the purchase order associated with the customer who sent the transaction. This number is taken from the inbound EDI sales order information.
ORDER TYPE
Display only. This field defines the type of sales order entered. Different order types have different system-processing behind them. The order type must be either 'C' (regular) or 'S' (standing), as defined on Reference File category 401. The default order type is 'C'.
PURCHASE ORDER LINE NUMBER
Display only. This field represents the line number of the purchase order where the exception was detected. This information is taken from the inbound EDI sales order files.
COMMENT SEQUENCE NUMBER
Display only. This field indicates the sequence number of the comment where the exception occurred. This information is taken from the inbound EDI sales order files.
EXCEPTION TYPE
Display only. This field indicates the type of exception being displayed. There are six exception types:
1 - Sales Order Header Exceptions
2 - Sales Order Line Exceptions
3 - Sales Order Header Comment Exceptions
4 - Sales Order Line Comment Exceptions
5 - Sales Order Line Inference Engine Exceptions
6 - Sales Order Multi-site Exceptions
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Displays the appropriate detail screen based on the type of exception.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program without processing the entered data and return to the menu.
F19 - Permits you to enter criteria to select a particular Sales Order Exception record. Criteria includes: company/warehouse; bill-to customer; customer purchase order number.
