Before the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) application can be used, four types of data must have been entered: Reference File categories, part data, customer data, and vendor data.
1. Determine which files/field values must be maintained.
2. Prepare source documents.
3. Enter transactions using the appropriate MAC-PAC conversation (indicated below).
4. Review transactions by printing the corresponding File Audit Trail.
